First Mortgage.ie was founded to fill the information gap which exists between Mortgage Lenders, Practitioners and Borrowers. Mortgage practitioners can sometimes be accused of making the mistake of assuming prospective borrowers have a good knowledge of the borrowing process. We have found this assumption to be a common source of difficulty as borrowers end up confused and concerned when they receive requests for additional information, explainations or documentation. We believe reviewing the questions and answers page of this site, many borrowers will gain a good understanding of the various terms used in the process. We find that once clients understand the reasons why, they are more than willing to be forthcoming with the required information and documentation, which acts like grease to a wheel and helps keep the process rolling smoothly.
